TFL / It's Never OK

Show / Hide

Colourist Julien Biard has graded the hard hitting online film for TFL’s ‘Report It To Stop It’ campaign.

The thought-provoking film accompanies an online campaign to increase awareness and support for those targeted with unwanted sexual behaviour on public transport – no matter how big or small the incident.

Directed by Al Mackay of Tomboy Films for agency M&C Saatchi, the film puts us in the position of a female victim. As she receives unwanted behaviour we are made to consider whether we would report it. Often at the time, people say no (90% of unwanted sexual behaviour on London transport goes unreported). But the film shows us how uncomfortable and wrong this situation really is, reminding the audience to think twice about what is and is not acceptable.

'Post wise on the face of it this looked like a simple job, but as there was a 60", 70", 24" and 4 short interactive moments to deliver, we analysed the films and it became apparent that very careful consideration needed to be given to the placement of titles and the timing of them. This did mean that quite a bit of thoughtful work was involved' comments Vittorio the post producer on the job. Flame work was carried out by Judy Roberts.
