Whisky isn’t just for grown-ups! Grant’s have embarked on a mission to change the perception of their whisky within the younger market, giving it a new lease of life by ditching the traditional, elitist associations with the premium brand.
It’s not about the whisky but about the friendship in this commercial, as a number of quite hilarious situations are played out between a trio of bros.
Devised by FCB Inferno, the commercial reveals the lengths that males will go to in order to help out their friends. Whether it’s fixing a round of golf by fishing for your ball, escorting your injured friend through a crowded bar in order to make a date or taking face-full of your friend’s gran’s ashes, the best way to pay back your pals is by sharing a Grant’s Whisky.
Ditching the product and focusing on emotion is the aim of this campaign. Grant’s Whisky is presented as a social drink, suitable for all ages and all occasions. The commercial, which was directed by Yann Demange through Stink, revolves around the support your friends give you despite your flaws – and the IOU that consequently comes from it.
