Doctor Who / Release Date Trailer

A Doctor Who first, the new doctor is breaking tradition as actress Jodie Whittaker takes the coveted role. The brief for the trailer was simple, a visual metaphor of a new era for the show with the tagline 'It's About Time'.

Originally the concept for the teaser was to open on the tardis dropping through a glass atrium, instead the focus moved away from the familiar references to instead to focus on the launch of the new doctor in a dazzling explosion of glass.

Referencing Rome's famous Pantheon for it's domed roof, the CG structure ceiling took the form of an atrium that mysteriously shatters shards of stained glass, in an explosion of beautiful high resolution detail.
