Sheepo
Speed, precision, endurance. Sheep-shearing can be cut-throat and one sheep behind may as well be one hundred. Director Ian Robertson's short film 'Sheepo' displays the intense and physical nature of the life as a shearer. With an engrossing grade by colourist Julien Biard really comes to life.
Whilst Ian Robertson's wildly personal and intense shots held their own in the aim of "creating an unspoken, fiercely competitive atmosphere in the shearing stand", it was only through Julien Biard's excellent grading work that this goal was achieved.
Furthermore, Julien's intimate grading work really highlighted Ian Robertson's interest in making "sheep shearing sexy, because that seemed like an unusual thing to do".
